In case you weren’t excited enough about Mirror’s Edge, the EA DICE title that features mystery, intrigue, and parkour, producer Tom Ferrer has added some more spice, telling 1Up that the game will also feature numerous time trial sections in order to bring further challenge.
According to Ferrer, the time trial bits will be "bite-sized and short so you can grind them and play them and get faster and faster. It’s not like playing an entire level." Ferrer went on to explain that you could then upload your best times onto leaderboards, and even download ghosts of other players’ runs which will show up as a red silhouette and show you how exactly they defied death over and over again.
EGM is planning a full blowout on the title in the October issue, so if you’re at all interested in a game that has intrigued a vast majority of the gaming press, you would be well served to either sit impatiently by your mailbox, badgering the mailman every time he comes by, or head down to Borders or Barnes and Noble and just read one of the issues they have sitting out on the stand without paying for it. You know, just like everyone else who goes to those stores.
