As if you didn’t have enough reason to reserve your copy of LittleBigPlanet, Media Molecule’s upcoming game that promises to be unlike anything you’ve played before, the incentives just went through the roof. The company announced today that an upcoming pre-order campaign will give you all sorts of goodies for reserving a copy of the game, slated to release this October. What sorts of goodies, you ask? Well I’ll tell you.
First up are an exclusive Kratos (God of War) SackBoy and Nariko (Heavenly Sword) SackGirl. These two little critters are so adorable you wouldn’t even think that in their free time they’re off killing hordes of soldiers and demons in order to avenge past travesties. Just don’t get in their way or you may end up missing a SackArm.
That’s not all though, you’ll also receive a "LittleBigPouch," a burlap bag big enough to hold the game, as well as a sticker book and a MiniGuide from Brady Games. The "LittleBigPlanet Creator" guide will teach you the fundamentals on how to make your own levels to share with the world, giving you a leg up on those just starting from scratch.
While this is all very tempting, don’t go running out to reserve the game quite yet. The promotion hasn’t started yet, and we’re still waiting for details on which retailers will be participating. We’ve got our ideas *coughGameStopcough* but until things are confirmed, just sit tight.
Do make sure to pre-order this one at some point though. If you own a PS3 and enjoy fun then you’re going to like LBP a lot. If you don’t like fun, well then I assume you can go back to manually plucking every hair on your body, because that’s what I assume people who don’t like fun do.
