Mirror’s Edge Using PS3 as Lead Platform
Posted by Brad Hilderbrand, 24 days ago Aug 4, 2008 16:49

Even though EA is decried by most as being the Evil Empire of gaming, they’re trying to win over Sony fans by announcing that Mirror’s Edge, the parkour-inspired title that has become quite the media darling over the past several months, will be using the PS3 as its lead development platform. The game will then be ported over to the Xbox 360, even taking the PS3 Trophies and turning them into Achievements.

That last sentence likely caused PS3 fanboys the world over to wet their pants.

EA is also hinting that DLC will be made available for the title, though they aren’t yet telling us what. Personally, I don’t want them to even concern themselves with such things, I just want this game to be released so I can fully immerse myself if Faith’s world of mystery, intrigue, and climbing on things no sane human being would go near.
